Yes, Gul Panag has crossed the figure of 100,000 followers. She is among the few Indian celebrities who are enjoying this figure.

Twitter, should thank to few Indians to promote their service in its initial days, and Gul is one of them. When Twitter started as a Social Network ,very few of the celebrities used this for their broadcasting and interaction. Gul used the platform since very beginning for interaction and conversation with her fans. She is considered in those few celebrities who always reply tweets of her fans. Her following count is also like a common twitter user.

Most of her tweets include social and human issues and perhaps that makes a difference. In last few months , Twitter has become a club of celebrities and most of them are using this -as a promotion channel or a branding platform, but meanwhile twitter users have become smarter. Now they follow only those who talk sense. And, if you cross the range of 100,000 , that means you talk sense.

People expect a lot from celebrities, they have a weight and presence. Their voice makes an impact and celebrities are respected who work in that way. Gul, used twitter as a real social network. She used Social thing from networking and gave it a mean.

We congratulate her for getting this achievements.

Compare Infobase celebrated India’s 63rd Independence Day on the 13th of August.

Though the Independence Day celebrations are held in the office every year, nevertheless the enthusiasm was quite obvious. The whole office was decorated with lots of tricolor balloons & flags which evoked the patriotic feeling in all of us.

To top the occasion it was mandatory for all to wear traditional dress in Tri Color. The participation was in full and the feeling of patriotism could be seen in one and all.

As a part of celebration we had a special lunch for all. It was a deliciously tempting menu, Veg. Biryani, Puri and Raita. To sweeten our taste buds we had Moong Dal halwa which was absolutely Yum and fantastic. Everyone relished the same.

Lunch was followed by work but only to gather and enjoy in the evening for an I. D celebrations.

Evening was a big blast as we had a lot of exciting things lined up as a part of the celebrations. The weather was perfect to have the get-together on the terrace. At 5:00pm everyone completed their tasks and gathered for the celebrations. The event started with all of us singing our National Anthem. This was followed by a special Quiz based on the Independence Day which had chocolates as prize for the correct answer. It got a very heartening response. Everybody participated and lots of prizes were distributed. Hitesh was able to give the names of all the Prime Ministers India has had till date in proper sequence. Vishwaranjan was able to tell the names of all the symbols of India. Many tried and failed but yet continued trying in hope to win at least one chocolate. Traditionally dressed men and women were also awarded with a chocolate.

Quiz competition was followed by kite flying. All gathered with Chakris and kites and a cut throat competition began among them. There were light snacks for all. The tempting pakora’s were complementing with the pleasant weather

To add icing on the cake, a contest was rolled out by the Twitsnaps team. All members of twitter could post their snaps on Twitsnaps related to Independent India and win loads of Cash Prizes. So everybody geared up for the week-end with the motive of clicking and posting snaps of the “Independent India”

The best way to pay for a lovely moment is to enjoy it.~ Richard Bach

Cheers !!! To “Social Media Breakfast Meetup”

At Compare infobase Ltd. Janakpuri-Delhi Twitsnaps hosted 13th Social media breakfast meetup. Topic of discussion was “Twitter vs Facebook”-Which is better for business?

Who Attended: Simarprit singh,Neerja Bhaskar, Hitesh Mathpal, Komal arora puri, Ashutosh Pandey,Neha Kulwal, Harleen kaur, Puneet Bajaj, Shubhangi, Soumya, Prashanta Roy.

We started this discussion in which we had two teams one was supporting Facebook and other one was supporting Twitter.
Facebook supporters were Neha Kulwal, Harleen Kaur, Shubhangi Gupta and Saumya Agarwal.
Twitter supporters were Simarprit Singh, Puneet Bajaj, Neerja Bhaskar, Ashutosh Pandey, Komal Puri, Hitesh Mathpal, and Prashanta Roy.

Everybody was given a chance to speak for 2 mins as why they support facebook or twitter and how it is useful for their businesses.
Here we came with following points:

Why Twitter??

•	Twitter has great reach to anywhere, to anybody and, in that respect, is also analogous to a pure search engine; another way to find people and content all over the Net.
•	To promote something Twitter is extremely valuable as you get instantaneous response and it seems that you are live somewhere between the worlds of email, instant messaging and blogging.
•	Twitter quickly build brand awareness and a loyal following, especially among the technically adept; bloggers, online marketers etc
•	Reach far beyond your inner circle of friends
•	Very interactive, extensible messaging platform with open APIs and has applications like twitsnaps.com where you can share pictures.
• Anyone can follow anyone and thus you can update , link to promote anything, your product will have more reach to customers
•	Ony to Many model make it more effective for business perspective.

Why Facebook??

•	Facebook is a platform or an interface where you can manage all your online social interaction needs with facebook chats, marketplace and fan pages etc.
•	Facebook is more Visual and interactive based so it is much more effective for businesses where your visual presence is more important.
•	Facebook Marketplace has come up with many to many models and thus it has more reach to potential customers.
•	People can quickly grasp the value of connecting with friends, family and established contacts and thereby helpful where business is local and small scale.
•	Has strong viral effect which can help you in promoting your product easily.
•	Facebook has huge, rapidly growing installed user base and thus it is a market place for businesses where reference plays a strong role.
•	Constant engagement, third party applications, “gift giving” and personal data collection make Facebook a powerful advertising platform.

In the end, both Twitter and Facebook are important and effective social media tools in their own way and it depends on the objective of the business as one can be more effective than other .Both will continue to evolve and it depends on you in which best way you can use these tools for promoting your product.

9th Social media Breakfast meetup started today in the morning at sagar ratna Janakpuri Delhi over “Google Caffeine: Impacts on SEO and Social Media”

Manoj who suggested to discuss on it started the discussion with his knowledge on Google caffeine- a new search engine from google. He explains the parameters on which google is emphasizing are speed, accuracy, relevancy and freshness of content.

After monoj; Mani with his real time examples explained that now Google will be able to index content faster; that will certainly give an upper edge to SMO over SEO. He told that now organization must need to seek good smo’s with seo’s to make an equivalent team to work upon a site to improve its internet visibility and traffic.

Hitesh as always goes some technical and unveiled the algorithm of old indexing system and google caffeine indexing system. He told that now spammers will be out of race and user generated content and relevant keywords will win the race.
Puneet supported hitesh and emphasized over user generated content and real time crawling algorithm of google caffeine.

Neha Kulwal was very excited during coversation and she could not stop her to discuss on how Caffeine give importance to Social Media presence of a site and helping in getting crawled and indexed faster. Ashutosh was also thrilled noting down the points of discussion and also discussed that there will be no wonder if you could find some links in top searches which are old or you have never heard of such websites. he also shared that now internet companies need to hire SMO’s to make their presence on the top. Harleen and komal explained how quickly you can adapt to the caffeine (means google caffeine ) and also that this change doesn’t make any of the crawling, indexing, or ranking factors more or less important than before. It simply makes fresh crawled content available in search results more quickly than before.

Daman was learning and noting down every single point on it and Ramesh discussed about new advertisement impact by Google Caffeine.

During discussion we have ordered our choices for breakfast and interestingly most of us ordered Dahi Vada that make it perfect “Social Media Meetup -Discussion over Google caffeine with a Dahi Vada”

Cheers to SMBTS
