Cheers !!! To “Social Media Breakfast Meetup”

At Compare infobase Ltd. Janakpuri-Delhi Twitsnaps hosted 13th Social media breakfast meetup. Topic of discussion was “Twitter vs Facebook”-Which is better for business?

Who Attended: Simarprit singh,Neerja Bhaskar, Hitesh Mathpal, Komal arora puri, Ashutosh Pandey,Neha Kulwal, Harleen kaur, Puneet Bajaj, Shubhangi, Soumya, Prashanta Roy.

We started this discussion in which we had two teams one was supporting Facebook and other one was supporting Twitter.
Facebook supporters were Neha Kulwal, Harleen Kaur, Shubhangi Gupta and Saumya Agarwal.
Twitter supporters were Simarprit Singh, Puneet Bajaj, Neerja Bhaskar, Ashutosh Pandey, Komal Puri, Hitesh Mathpal, and Prashanta Roy.

Everybody was given a chance to speak for 2 mins as why they support facebook or twitter and how it is useful for their businesses.
Here we came with following points:

Why Twitter??

•	Twitter has great reach to anywhere, to anybody and, in that respect, is also analogous to a pure search engine; another way to find people and content all over the Net.
•	To promote something Twitter is extremely valuable as you get instantaneous response and it seems that you are live somewhere between the worlds of email, instant messaging and blogging.
•	Twitter quickly build brand awareness and a loyal following, especially among the technically adept; bloggers, online marketers etc
•	Reach far beyond your inner circle of friends
•	Very interactive, extensible messaging platform with open APIs and has applications like twitsnaps.com where you can share pictures.
• Anyone can follow anyone and thus you can update , link to promote anything, your product will have more reach to customers
•	Ony to Many model make it more effective for business perspective.

Why Facebook??

•	Facebook is a platform or an interface where you can manage all your online social interaction needs with facebook chats, marketplace and fan pages etc.
•	Facebook is more Visual and interactive based so it is much more effective for businesses where your visual presence is more important.
•	Facebook Marketplace has come up with many to many models and thus it has more reach to potential customers.
•	People can quickly grasp the value of connecting with friends, family and established contacts and thereby helpful where business is local and small scale.
•	Has strong viral effect which can help you in promoting your product easily.
•	Facebook has huge, rapidly growing installed user base and thus it is a market place for businesses where reference plays a strong role.
•	Constant engagement, third party applications, “gift giving” and personal data collection make Facebook a powerful advertising platform.

In the end, both Twitter and Facebook are important and effective social media tools in their own way and it depends on the objective of the business as one can be more effective than other .Both will continue to evolve and it depends on you in which best way you can use these tools for promoting your product.

Hello Tweeple.

We are happy to introduce some new features in twitsnaps.com .Specially when you are accessing the site from your mobile phone-

You can view Snaps in SNAPTU
Now you can view the snaps posted on twitsnaps on your snaptu mobile client. They just added our API on that for displaying the snap.

m.twitsnaps is on OAuth now
Yes, our mobile version http://m.twitsnaps.com is on OAuth now. Now this site is more secure.

Phone Detection
Yet again a new feather in twitsnaps’ cap. You just type http://twitsnaps.com on your mobile web browser and our server detects your request. Since your request is from mobile, it automatically loads lighter version of twitsnaps to you that is http://m.twitsnaps.com

Good news of Uber Twitter and Other Client Users
We just fixed the issue of not opening the page of twitsnaps from uber twitter and other mobile clients like (Twitter for blackberry, Echofone etc). You just click on the twitsnaps link of the tweet , our server detects your request. And as you are from mobile it gives you the display of snap in mobile compatible page (m.twitsnaps.com).

At Sagar Ratna, Janakpuri-Delhi Twitsnaps hosted 9th Social media breakfast meetup. Topic of discussion was “Google Caffeine: Impacts on SEO and Social Media”

Who Attended: Manvinder Singh, Hitesh Mathpal,Komal arora, Ashutosh Pandey,Neha Kulwal, Harleen kaur, Puneet Bajaj, Subir Roy,Monoj Kumar Sharma, Ramesh, Daman

9th Social media Breakfast meetup started today in the morning at sagar ratna Janakpuri Delhi over “Google Caffeine: Impacts on SEO and Social Media”

Manoj who suggested to discuss on it started the discussion with his knowledge on Google caffeine- a new search engine from google. He explains the parameters on which google is emphasizing are speed, accuracy, relevancy and freshness of content.

After monoj; Mani with his real time examples explained that now Google will be able to index content faster; that will certainly give an upper edge to SMO over SEO. He told that now organization must need to seek good smo’s with seo’s to make an equivalent team to work upon a site to improve its internet visibility and traffic.

Hitesh as always goes some technical and unveiled the algorithm of old indexing system and google caffeine indexing system. He told that now spammers will be out of race and user generated content and relevant keywords will win the race.
Puneet supported hitesh and emphasized over user generated content and real time crawling algorithm of google caffeine.

Neha Kulwal was very excited during coversation and she could not stop her to discuss on how Caffeine give importance to Social Media presence of a site and helping in getting crawled and indexed faster. Ashutosh was also thrilled noting down the points of discussion and also discussed that there will be no wonder if you could find some links in top searches which are old or you have never heard of such websites. he also shared that now internet companies need to hire SMO’s to make their presence on the top. Harleen and komal explained how quickly you can adapt to the caffeine (means google caffeine ) and also that this change doesn’t make any of the crawling, indexing, or ranking factors more or less important than before. It simply makes fresh crawled content available in search results more quickly than before.

Daman was learning and noting down every single point on it and Ramesh discussed about new advertisement impact by Google Caffeine.

During discussion we have ordered our choices for breakfast and interestingly most of us ordered Dahi Vada that make it perfect “Social Media Meetup -Discussion over Google caffeine with a Dahi Vada”

Cheers to SMBTS

After formal intorduction of the SMBTS group members by Hitesh Mathpal the topic started on an introductory note by Anushka where she explained the importance of building an online profile and the important factors to be considered for successful profile management. She also added that your profile is personality of the user. The discussion then took off with Daman who was having a doubt that Online profile management could also be called as “Reputation management”.

Manvinder singh (Mani) ( Director of CIL ) who joined us first time said that networking is always a positive factor which could be utilized well. He took and explained a case study on Cafe Coffee Day in that context. He also explained that if your profile could build a personality which imply your works and achievement then it could turn into good results for your business.

Kaushik Pal explained the topic by taking an example of Anand Mahindra’smanagement of his twitter profile to empower the customers to give him feedback about Mahindra products. He agreed with mani on his example of surf Excel -”Daag Acche Hain” campaign which utilized social media as a tool to build its brand personality.

Sunil Gupta (a marketing professional ) explained that social media communities and networking as important tools to power your online profile and it is important to monitor what others are saying about you. Subir Roy (a marketing professional ) brought forward the viewpoint of using social media profile as a marketing effort- the aim should be customer engagement, brand awareness and promotions.

Neha and Harleen highlighted that the purpose of your presence in social media determines the way you put updates on various social media websites such as twitter and facebook. Ramesh shared a tool which could be used to manage your profile.

It seems Bollywood is turning to Indian epics to draw inspiration for the films. Mani Ratnams’ “Raavan” is touted to be a modern take on the Ramayana. The film has been in news for its unconventional storyline, glittering star cast and a mega budget. Being a modern adaptation of the Ramayana, the director has meticulously chosen the characters for the film. Abhishek Bachchan, who plays Beera is likely to be a clone of Raavan, the demon king. Aishwarya Rai’s role in this action thriller is that of Ragini, which is in line with the character of Sita.

Mani Ratnam claims that unlike the epic, his film will have a new twist where the kidnapped lady ultimately develops a soft corner for her abductor. The film has been shot in some unconventional locales including the forests of Kerala and the Malshej Ghats of Maharashtra. V. Manikandan, a leading cinematographer shares the credit with Santhosh Sivan for having captured some rare terrains artistically on camera.

“Raavan’, which is also said to reprise the memories of the notorious poacher Veerappan, is replete with action sequences. Abhishek Bachchan has been the talk of the tinsel town for his series of stunts in the film. Be it watching Abhishek diving from a high mountain or Aishwarya hanging in a boat in a river in Kerala the excitement quotient in the film is expected to be high. All eyes will be on the Bachchan couple who will share the screen once again after they proved to be a winning combination in “Guru”.

Top-notch artists from the Bollywood fraternity have come together for “Raavan”. The director has roped in lyricist Gulzar along with Oscar & Grammy award winner music director A.R Rahman to etch out some exclusive compositions. Having a line of talented actors including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Tamil super star Vikram, audience is likely to see some intense performances in the film. “Raavan” is being made in Tamil as “Raavanan” with a different cast. It is also slated to be dubbed into Telugu and other regional languages.

Reliance Big Pictures and Madras Talkies have made a whopping investment of Rs.45 crore for the film, which will hit the theaters on June 18.

Raavan is releasing on 18th June
