At Sagar Ratna,Janakpuri-Delhi Twitsnaps hosted 15th Social media breakfast meetup. Topic of discussion was “Role of media sharing in social media”

Who Attended: Simarprit singh,Neerja, Hitesh Mathpal,Kaushik Pal, Ashutosh Pandey,Neha Kulwal, Daman Anand, Harvinder Singh, Raphael Dalle.

Hitesh started the topic throwing some light on social media platforms and media sharing through them.He told it is growing and evolution in technology is helping it to grow fast.
Simar addressed that the no of users in social media sites are growing so fast and the changing thinking towards life is provoking not even youths as well as each person to be active on youtube,Flickr,Slideshare,Twitter,Twitpic and Twitsnaps.People like to share where they are and what they are doing among their friends and others.

Members were asking questions to simar that how media sharing could be helpful in increasing traffic on a particular site and so is the revenue part. simar answered them that you need to be active on social media platforms and must use the search algorithm to find out the trends and right people to talk about your products/concept and then see the magic.

Meanwhile we ordered our breakfast and enjoyed it a lot and discussion moved on to some technology part.Hitesh told how changing technology is helpful and affecting social media platforms like Twitter and facebook.He told that they get more than 50% of traffic from third party application and vice-versa. Members asked question during enjoying their breakfast and get their answer by the other members of #SMBTS.
The discussion was very insightful and i am sure that everybody has got a chance to learn more on Social media.

Who Attended: Simarprit singh,Mani, Hitesh Mathpal,Kaushik Pal, Khushbu, Ashutosh Pandey,Puneet Bajaj,Daman Anand, Harvinder Singh.

Hitesh Started the topic “Social Media and SEO integration”.He shared that this is the need of our for companies having business of internet marketing as it helps in getting more traffic and earn revenue.

Kaushik shared his view supported with some practical examples.Ha shared the example of compare infobase ltd. which has optimized smo with seo very well and getting profit out of it by investing very less.

Simarp started with an example that how google is crawling the real time results (e.g. tweets with hashtag) and this has generated many new keywords. He also said that SMO integration with SEO has become the need of the hour to be available in the top results of google.

Whereas Mani said that result of SMO integration with SEO varies with the degree of involvement and purpose.He said that by SMO the traffic come to a website is not big in numbers.Hence if one is planning to integrate SMO with SEO he must be clear on his/her goals.

Daman Anand asked about how it could be helpful for a flower business & simarp answered him to start a website which advice people on flowers for occasion and its uses and then start moving towards achieving the specified goal.

Puneet Bajaj said that google has not enough metrics to show the SMO results with search results.He said that they came up caffeine and they are still exploring it. Simarp contradicted this point of puneet that google do not have enough metrics and in proof he showed the real time results of tweets having the tag #SMBTS on google’s first page.

Ashutosh,Khushbu and Harvinder were listening attentively; Khushbu and harvinder asked questions regarding the technology changes and increasing presence of social networking sites whereas ashutosh was tweeting live of each persons’ point on Twitter and sharing some snaps on Twitsnaps.

At Compare infobase Ltd. Janakpuri-Delhi Twitsnaps hosted 13th Social media breakfast meetup. Topic of discussion was “Twitter vs Facebook”-Which is better for business?

Who Attended: Simarprit singh,Neerja Bhaskar, Hitesh Mathpal, Komal arora puri, Ashutosh Pandey,Neha Kulwal, Harleen kaur, Puneet Bajaj, Shubhangi, Soumya, Prashanta Roy.

We started this discussion in which we had two teams one was supporting Facebook and other one was supporting Twitter.
Facebook supporters were Neha Kulwal, Harleen Kaur, Shubhangi Gupta and Saumya Agarwal.
Twitter supporters were Simarprit Singh, Puneet Bajaj, Neerja Bhaskar, Ashutosh Pandey, Komal Puri, Hitesh Mathpal, and Prashanta Roy.

Everybody was given a chance to speak for 2 mins as why they support facebook or twitter and how it is useful for their businesses.
Here we came with following points:

Why Twitter??

• Twitter has great reach to anywhere, to anybody and, in that respect, is also analogous to a pure search engine; another way to find people and content all over the Net.
• To promote something Twitter is extremely valuable as you get instantaneous response and it seems that you are live somewhere between the worlds of email, instant messaging and blogging.
• Twitter quickly build brand awareness and a loyal following, especially among the technically adept; bloggers, online marketers etc
• Reach far beyond your inner circle of friends
• Very interactive, extensible messaging platform with open APIs and has applications like twitsnaps.com where you can share pictures.
• Anyone can follow anyone and thus you can update , link to promote anything, your product will have more reach to customers
• Ony to Many model make it more effective for business perspective.

Why Facebook??

• Facebook is a platform or an interface where you can manage all your online social interaction needs with facebook chats, marketplace and fan pages etc.
• Facebook is more Visual and interactive based so it is much more effective for businesses where your visual presence is more important.
• Facebook Marketplace has come up with many to many models and thus it has more reach to potential customers.
• People can quickly grasp the value of connecting with friends, family and established contacts and thereby helpful where business is local and small scale.

• Facebook has huge, rapidly growing installed user base and thus it is a market place for businesses where reference plays a strong role.

Who Attended: Simarprit singh, Kaushik Pal, Hitesh Mathpal, Komal arora puri, Ashutosh Pandey,Neha Kulwal, Puneet Bajaj, Harvinder, Daman Anand.

Simar initiated the discussion telling about how beneficial M commerce is in present scenario and M commerce is an important business aspect for websites. He also gave his real life examples on how M commerce made difference to their lifestyle.

Hitesh explained the concept of payment gateways to the audience and introduced 3G.He also explained how 3G is going to affect the m-commerce concept and ways to monetize it.

Puneet explained mobile usage has increased rapidly due to the evolution of Internet and other mobile technologies and due to this it has provided seamless opportunities for various online businesses.

Neha and Komal discussed how reach is increasing to customers having M commerce websites.

Kaushik and Ashutosh explained having M commerce or a mobile channel involves low cost and by doing that you can attract more traffic. Also, Technology has changed the way people use their mobile devices.  Most of the people do their shopping by using their mobile device to gather information or to communicate on social media.

Daman Anand asked few questions regarding how M commerce will help in getting traffic for the site he owns and also if search engines giving importance to the M commerce websites.A new member came today in the SMB Harvinder, who shared his views and experiences on the M commerce

So in the end we concluded that Smart-Phones are latest fashion today and technology has changed the way people use their mobile devices.
Any business owner should opt for a mobile website while planning for business expansions and also M commerce is being used through Social Media as an essential part of Internet marketing strategy which makes a huge difference to your online business campaign.

9th Social media Breakfast meetup started today in the morning at sagar ratna Janakpuri Delhi over “Google Caffeine: Impacts on SEO and Social Media”

Manoj who suggested to discuss on it started the discussion with his knowledge on Google caffeine- a new search engine from google.He explains the parameters on which google is emphasizing are speed, accuracy, relevancy and freshness of content.

After monoj; Mani with his real time examples explained that now Google will be able to index content faster; that will certainly give an upper edge to SMO over SEO. He told that now organization must need to seek good smo’s with seo’s to make an equivalent team to work upon a site to improve its internet visibility and traffic.

Hitesh as always goes some technical and unveiled the algorithm of old indexing system and google caffeine indexing system.He told that now spammers will be out of race and user generated content and relevant keywords will win the race.
Puneet supported hitesh and emphasized over user generated content and real time crawling algorithm of google caffeine.

Neha Kulwal was very excited during coversation and she could not stop her to discuss on how Caffeine give importance to Social Media presence of a site and helping in getting crawled and indexed faster. Ashutosh was also thrilled noting down the points of discussion and also discussed that there will be no wonder if you could find some links in top searches which are old or you have never heard of such websites. he also shared that now internet companies need to hire SMO’s to make their presence on the top. Harleen and komal explained how quickly you can adapt to the caffeine (means google caffeine ) and also that this change doesn’t make any of the crawling, indexing, or ranking factors more or less important than before. It simply makes fresh crawled content available in search results more quickly than before.

Daman was learning and noting down every single point on it and Ramesh discussed about new advertisement impact by Google Caffeine.

After formal intorduction of the SMBTS group members by Hitesh Mathpal the topic started on an introductory note by Anushka where she explained the importance of building an online profile and the important factors to be considered for successful profile management. She also added that your profile is personality of the user. The discussion then took off with Daman who was having a doubt that Online profile management could also be called as “Reputation management”.

Manvinder singh (Mani) ( Director of CIL ) who joined us first time said that networking is always a positive factor which could be utilized well. He took and explained a case study on Cafe Coffee Day in that context. He also explained that if your profile could build a personality which imply your works and achievement then it could turn into good results for your business.

Kaushik Pal explained the topic by taking an example of Anand Mahindra’smanagement of his twitter profile to empower the customers to give him feedback about Mahindra products. Further Hitesh introduced the importance of staying on line with the social media tools such as ping.fm, pixelpipe.com and the need to wisely select social media tools according to target audience.

Ashutosh highlighted the importance of updates and profile customization in twitter, facebook and other social media platforms. He said everything you write on your profile about you explain about you. Puneet stressed on the fact that it is more about image building, brand building and it is the user experience which counts the most. He agreed with mani on his example of surf Excel -”Daag Acche Hain” campaign which utilized social media as a tool to build its brand personality.

Sunil Gupta (a marketing professional ) explained that social media communities and networking as important tools to power your online profile and it is important to monitor what others are saying about you. Subir Roy (a marketing professional ) brought forward the viewpoint of using social media profile as a marketing effort- the aim should be customer engagement, brand awareness and promotions.

Neha and Harleen highlighted that the purpose of your presence in social media determines the way you put updates on various social media websites such as twitter and facebook. Ramesh shared a tool which could be used to manage your profile.

Meanwhile we were about to finish our breakfast and at the end we had some light moments and decided to move towards our offices.

Hitesh Mathpal, (Co-founder of twitsnaps) initiated the discussion on the topic shared his views on facebook optimzation. He shared his knowledge on 3 important tools of Facebook used for promotions which are ‘Facebook connect’, ‘Fan page’ and ‘Facebook profile badges “ with the group. He also talked on how to use these tools and went on telling their effects on business.

He took over by Ashutosh pandey who explained that how facebook fan page helps a business to spread word among masses in real-time and number of fans keeps on increasing with time. He told that facebook is a best tool of viral marketing and if utilized wisely it could help to get more leads and get a strength for businesses.

As usual Puneet came up with the very important point in regard. He talked about facebook ads and shared with group thst how these ads target the local customers in specified geography, he also shared that how facebook show its viral marketing effect and the viral spread of shared links into news feeds.

Neha discussed in regard that we can optimize our fan page by providing it some visuals, entertainment and by identifying the goal of the purpose. One should make an appealing profile that provides all the relevant information. She also discussed about her website and its facebook fan page.She told us how she is optimizing it for her project.

Shubhangi (a HR professional) said having a Facebook fan page is an integral part of establishing your own brand and presence within the social networks.

Sangeeta (a HR professional) explained user experiences with facebook promotion tools and shared her experience with the group that how she is building credibility among masses about the organization where she works. She told Facebook is a wonderful tool to integrate with HR functions.

Kaushik Pal explained the usage of facebook ads for small and medium enterprises; and the difference it could make in generating business for the same. He also shared his experiences of google ads and compared them with the facebook ads.

Ramesh (a self employed professional) discussed about some technologies of using frames and java scripts which can reduce the size of the picture and can reduce the comment uploading time in facebook

Komal and Sandeep explained the technical tools especially regarding facebook login. Sandeep added that how facebook login can be used as a user friendly login for other websites which require login. It could save users time and extra work and for the websites it could save database space.

Anushka and Daman asked questions about facebook tools and their integration with websites, SMB group was successful to provide them appropriate answers.

Sharad Poddar (Director at CIL ) concluded the meeting and suggested about the documentation of the discussions. And we have decided to document the discussion and every group member will soon have a copy of it.

Ashutosh started the topic throwing some light on facts and figures related to social media. He told that social media platforms has increased the dependency on mobile usage.Celebrities and companies are promoting themselves through twitter and other social media platforms and they are utilizing them wisely.

Simar explained the changes social media brought in his life. He said that his reading habits have changed and it also changed his list of favourite TV channels. He also explained how technology is playig a major role in social media interaction.

Roomy Naqvy with his real life examples added the immense value to the SMBTS. He said that by using social media platforms (sites) he got in touch with many people whom he never met and seen. Social media actually has given him opportunities to share his views and making relationship.

Puneet share his views on impact of social media and talked about changing psychology of humans as they are getting indulge in social media interactions.

Hitesh also shared his real life examples. He explained how social media is now running in our blood. He also introduced us the concept of user generated text and put some light on Mobile as a major tool of social media interaction.

Ramesh also took part and commented on human psychology affected by social media.

Harleen presented some facts on how social media is impacting our businesses. she said that how twitter became a free tool of self branding and promotion.

Daman Anand shared his views and took part in discussion whereas monoj has also shared his view with the group.

During breakfast Neerja and komal shared their views and put some light against social media platforms. They said that social media cannot do everything. You need to go offline to do some tasks. Some were agree and some were not. Komal also said that social media platforms like twitter is a great tool to wish and get in touch with your loved ones. That was a touching part of SMBTS.

There were also some lights moments which flashed a sweet smile on everyone’s face during breakfast which was yummy from Mcdonalds.

This Time again at Sagar Ratna in Twitsnaps hosted 5th Social media breakfast meetup. Topic of discussion was “social Media Marketing vs Traditional Marketing”

With full excitement Anurag started the discussion with putting his points on social media marketing and traditional marketing and differences between terms and then Anushka came up with the point of difference that Traditional marketing vs Social Media Marketing should be understood as interrupting Marketing vs participation marketing.she proved her point by putting facts Radio took 38 years to get 50 million users , TV – 13 years , Internet – 4 years, iPod – 3 years but Face book – 9 months – 100 million users.

Simar explained how one can measure Brand Equity of a product or service or company through social media. By using social media you give a personality to an organization;he added further.

Puneet came with the live example of Dell where he put up a point of spoiling a brand name by customers in Social Media sometimes.he also emphasized direct user intervention and consumer feedback via Social Media.

Neha shared her experience on both.she said that SMM is a two way communication where as Traditional is one way marketing. You could save lots of money and get good return if you exploit SMM wisely.

Harleen came with a point that nowadays Social Media is much quicker in terms of reach as compared to Print Media. Kaushik talked about the 4P’s of Marketing in Traditional Marketing but in Social Media Marketing there is one more P which is ‘Participating’ and explained the same.

Ashutosh explained how brand equity is more measurable in Social Media than Traditional Marketing. He also talked about the factor which makes social media stronger than traditional is Cost and trust building but he was opposed by neerja , anushka and simar that it could be vice-versa.

Hitesh focused over the real approach of Social Media and explained how it should not be mixed with traditional approach; he also explained the basics of Social Media. He gave an example of trust building by social media and how it works for organization.

Komal discussed the usage of Traditional Marketing and its fast reach and explained the horizon of Social Media inside traditional marketing.

Daman Anand asked the usage of blogging and how it could be utilized wisely. He told that after performing social media activities with his business he is getting good response.

Ramesh, pointed some facts regarding blogging and social media via orkut. He shared his experience of using social media with business.

In the end Anurag concluded the discussion and asked two questions:

This time at District Center ,Janakpuri , Delhi Twitsnaps hosted successfully 3rd social media breakfast meetup in a row. The topic od discussion was “How to measure the impact of social media on business”
The meetup was started with introduction of each individual and with a cold coffee. Pointing towards the impact of social media @simarp started discussion on the topic. He explained the concept of social media metrics. He further added value to the discussion by explaining the klout ranking and social media ranking.
@puneet_bajaj an internet marketing professional also shared his views on social media metrics and explained it by relating it with long term gain to the business.
@kaushikpal VP marketing added value to the discussion by explaing the concept of social media engagement. He provided the example of new treds in digital marketing and his experience that he gained from various
marketing conferences.
@hitesh84 co-founder of twitsnaps shared his views on real time feeds and blogging. He also talked about google showing real time feeds in its searches and its importance and necessity.
@ashut87 Marketing manager Twitsnaps shared his views on customer retention and customer satisfaction. He explained that how social media is important to have both (retention and satisfaction) .one can measure the impact of social media on business comparing these two factors.
Daman anand queried on how to increase revenue by using social media -answering to this simar explained the concept how to use twitter and other social netorking websites for business.
@anuragnco a SEO professional shared his views on real time search results on google and @hitesh84 explained it further and that it will be the next change in serach engine
Pushpender nath a professional from AC neilson Joined the discussion by putting his points on the importnace of research work
